Purple Flowering Raspberry

(Rubus odoratus) -Sun to shade–  Native ornamental shrub with large single pink/purple flowers. Edible but tasteless berries (needs pollinator). Spreads by runners

Yellow raspberries have the same growth habit as reds.   Plant 1’-2’ apart in row; will fill in row with suckers in a year or two.  All raspberries dislike soggy roots; raised beds are a good strategy for the heavy clay soils in this region. Self fertile.
