Concord Blue Seeded Grape

(Vitis spp.)

Full Sun to Part Shade. vigorous, disease resistant

Female varieties in general produce larger and sweeter fruit. Female varieties must be planted within 50’ of a self-fertile variety for cross pollination to occur. Female Muscadine vines average 50-60 lbs. of fruit per plant.

Deep blue seeded grape.  Really decent for eating fresh (in my opinion), but in most people’s opinion best for juice and jelly because of the large seeds and tart, strong flavor.  Welch’s Grape Juice is made from Concord grapes.  Vigorous, disease-resistant plant, great for slightly shady or neglected spots where other grapes could not perform.  Likes hot summers and ripens late in the season–not for short season or cool summer areas. . .

Canadice pink-red Seedless Table Grape

(Vitis spp.)

Full Sun to Part Shade. Some disease resistance.

Self-fertile varieties in general produce higher fruit yields. They are self-pollinating which means they will pollinate themselves and any female muscadine vines within 50’.  We recommend planting at least 1 self-fertile for every 3 female vines.  Self-fertile muscadine vines average 60-80 lbs. of fruit per plant although some varieties will produce even more

Mars Blue Seedless Table Grape

(Vitis spp.)

Full Sun. vigorous, disease resistant

Dark blue seedless table grape.  Large berries, high yield and full flavor.  Resistant to several major diseases and late to bud out in the spring, so less likely to get frosted.  Vigorous grower.  Fruit is slipskin, meaning it has a thicker skin and most folks squeeze the pulp out and throw the skin. I prefer to eat it all!  . .
